Interior design is a very personal and ever changing opinion, but here are some of my favourite design trends of 2025.
Internal windows are the perfect solve for light-starved rooms. Brightness is borrowed from adjacent spaces making a home feel larger and better connected, and sparing you the upheaval of knocking down walls. They make a home feel more modern and open plan, by opening up a space.
As our homes get smaller and space becomes a premium, bespoke and built-in storage solutions make use of every inch, while looking trendy and in keep with the property. For some, that means enlisting professionals to create tailor-made pieces, and the confident DIYers are hacking their basic Ikea wardrobes with clever additions like cornicing and baseboards to mimic a bespoke finish. Custom under stair storage and custom wardrobe space is the perfect addition to enhance your home.
Say goodbye to plain / smooth walls—2025 is all about textured walls. Panelling creates a natural, and sustainable design, featuring styles like fluted, ribbed, and vertical slats. These are often done in earthy tones or with natural wood finishes to create a warm and calming aesthetic, that is still modern and minimalistic.

Technology continues to advance, and in 2026, it will become even more seamlessly integrated into our homes. Discreet tech means incorporating smart home devices in a way that they blend effortlessly with the decor. Hidden speakers, wireless charging furniture, and voice or motion controlled lighting, are just a few examples that I love.
Black is making a bold statement as an accent colour in recent years. Dark accents, whether through furniture, fixtures, or decor, create a striking impact that can anchor a room’s design. When used sparingly, it provides an effortless contrast, making other colours pop and bringing a modern, classy and sophisticated edge to interiors.
